Happening now and I urge everyone to go and visit Lacma...

Lacma has began to show case the amazing creations in detail from 1700-1915. Highlights include an eighteenth-century man's vest intricately embroidered with powerful symbolic messages relevant to the French Revolution; an evening mantle with silk embroidery, glass beads, and ostrich feathers designed by French couturier Émile Pingat and spectacular three-piece suits and gowns worn at the royal courts of Europe.

Not only will you see women and men's wear there is also children's wear which is also very significant. This is a huge opportunity to take advantage of specially for us fashion students that know very little about old sewing techniques or textiles that were only available in that time period... this does not only benefit fashion students do not get me wrong everyone should go and visit this awesome Exhibition, and to learn one or two things about the history of costumes and where all the new fashion is coming from.

Also while you are there take advantage and purchase the catalog which takes the best of the best of the exhibit:Luxurious textiles, exacting tailoring, and lush trimmings abound in this volume that celebrates the exhibition at LACMA.

And its onlyt $55.00!!
