All eyes are on the the Chilean Miners at this very moment. I saw this article posted by one of my friends on facebook.com Valentin Gacon and I believe this has to do with fashion, and not only that but this is fashion at its best ... Serving for a good cause.
The Telegraph.co.uk has reported that:
"The miners will emerge wearing the sunglasses, donated by the American company, Oakley, which will provide 100 per cent protection from ultraviolet light. Medics have warned of damage to the miners' retinas when they reach daylight after so long underground. The men will also be given medication to protect against common germs to which they have become unaccustomed after so long underground."
So now lets go into detail what and how much these glasses are worth.
So they are $450 a pair x 33 miners =$ 14850
I love that Oakley has done this. No one asked them to, and for them to take it upon themselves to do it, serves a great human like purpose for the company. Also I must say they have a great marketing staff because this also is a fantastic way to show the world " Hey look! Our sunglasses are so good, this is what they are made for, for protecting sensitive eyes from UV lights."
I mus say NICE JOB OAKLEY!
